Arrived Bern early Monday morning. My apointment with Michael was in the afternoon and I had a good half a day to kill.

The Old Town of Bern has been featured in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1983. A walk around this fabulous cultural site and enjoy the charm of the covered arcades, cobbled streets and decorated facades.Walked round the town square at least 3 times. Passed by Einstein's residence at least twice. Visited the bear's pit as well.

Decided to spend a few days in the lake district just before attending the CPSS Meeting in Basel. It is not my first trip to Switzerland. But it might very well be my last time there, especially up on these majestic mountains.

Murren was very quiet and desserted that day. Felt as if I was the only one up there. The sight though was absolutely beautiful.
